Summer is not even here and Cub Scout Day Camp in North Shore District is already filling up.
Cub Scout "Survivor Island" will be held June 8-12, 2009, at Hallmark Baptist Church, 9023 Old Lampasas Trl. (Spicewood Springs Rd.) The fee will be just $75 for 5 full days of camp - for those registering by May 1. After that date, the fee goes up to $100. (Many for-profit camps are expected to charge $200 or more this summer!)
This year's day camp will feature an exciting range of field sports, water activities and crafts in a safe, well-shaded environment that will engage Cub Scouts from Tiger to Webelos. Each day's session will run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Unit leaders should know that each pack is expected to provide at least one volunteer for every four Cub Scouts who attend.
North Shore Day Camp will probably be the first in the Capitol Area Council to fill up, so don't miss this great opportunity for your Cub Scout. For registration details, go to the Day Camp registration flyer.
