The North Shore Training Committee is currently working on Spring 2008 planning. The district transition makes this an unusual year - typically we would have solid training dates in place. However, the current situation requires us to do our planning a bit later than normal.

One thing we've done is create a plan which sets our overall training direction for the district. You can see the plan here:

One thing I want to highlight about our plan is the emphasis we're going to make on cross-district collaboration. Partly it is out of necessity, but it also makes good sense for us to share our resources to allow us to deliver higher quality training to you. At the same time, we're not going to lose sight of the fact that we need to provide adequate training opportunities to fit into your schedule. This said, at least for 2008, you should plan on some of our training being done in conjunction with other districts.

Another thing I ask you to keep in mind are the needs we have to fill key roles on the training team. We have some great folks who have already offered to help, but we need more trainers in several areas.
