If you're new to Cub Scouting, you'll want to know where to start. Our Cub Scout Leader Basic Training Roadmap is the place to begin.
If you've previously been through training, things have changed as of Fall 2008, and you should familiarize yourself with the new basic training roadmap, which will help you determine your next step in training.
As of August, 2008, North Shore has adopted the newly revised Cub Scout Leader training, and has scheduled multiple sessions, mostly on weeknights to provide our leaders increased accessibility to training opportunities. After you've completed the basic training for your position, there are additional training opportunities such as BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation) , OWL (Outdoor Leader Skills for Webelos Leaders) , and Wood Badge .

Webelos II Leaders or other Cub Scout leaders who are anticipating crossing over into Boy Scouting this Spring should strongly consider taking Scoutmaster Fundamentals training this Fall.
