Every boy deserves a trained leader....and every leader deserves an capable trainer.

Pack Trainers! Troop Trainers! District Trainers! Any Scouter who is interested in developing their training skills. Just around the corner on February 23rd, we've scheduled an orientation to help with those essentials you'll need to be effective in your role.

James E. West, the first Chief Scout Executive, was asked to identify the three most important needs of the Scout organization. Mr. West responded, “Training, more training, and still more training.” Being a trainer is among the most important roles in Scouting. As trainers, we're the ones who assure our leaders have the skills they need to deliver the best possible program to the youth we serve. So in a very real way, we're a big part of Scouting's success!

This action packed session consists of learning about the following skills:

  • ???

Participants are encouraged to be in uniform and bring their own pen or pencil. Handouts and program materials will be provided.

Also, offered later this year, the Trainer Development Conference is a great advanced follow-on to this training session, where participants will have an opportunity for fully rounding out their trainer skills.
