Promoting the "outing" in Scouting

The Camp Promotion and Outdoors Committee seeks to promote and facilitate vibrant outdoor programs in our units and assists in a number of areas, including:

• Providing guidance to Scouters in planning their unit camping and outdoor programs.
• Planning and conducting a program to promote unit participation in council camping opportunities
• Guiding the camp promotion activities of the Order of the Arrow within the district.
• Assuring safe and environmentally conscious outdoor unit programs
• Assisting with access to off-council campsites and assuring that proper permits are obtained.
• Facilitating access to camperships, which allow more Scouts to enjoy key outdoor activities.
