Instilling self-reliance in youth

The Advancement and Recognition Committee exists to serve the advancement needs of our Scouts, and to assure proper recognition of deserving youth and adults. Specifically, we:

• Provide guidance to Scouters on administering their unit advancement programs.
• Assist Scouts in completing the Eagle application process, including approval of Eagle projects.
• Provide district support for Eagle Boards of Review.
• Manage the district merit badge counselor list.
• Make district recommendations for key recognition awards, such as the District Award of Merit and Silver Beaver.
